Today I found that I can sit in my office with my music at max volume and nobody cares. I also found out that I can sing along with it and still nobody cares. I also found out that one of the contractors we employ makes more money than every developer in the office. Since I'm the boss of this contractor, it was my job today to let them know that they can either accept a full time position or leave. The full time position comes with a $22,000 pay cut plus benefits. Although there has not yet been an official response from said contractor, I think we all know where they are going...
Oh, and this was the song I was singing along too while I was discovering I can more or less do whatever I want in my office and nobody will say a thing:
